Transform how teachers give feedback on Drama, Music, PE, and Science performances. Built by educators, for educators.

Time Burden: Teachers spend 15+ hours/week writing performance feedback. Notes taken during performances are incomplete and hard to decipher later. Teachers miss critical moments while frantically scribbling.
Delayed Feedback: Feedback arrives 1-3 weeks late. By the time feedback is written, teachers have forgotten nuances of the performance.
Text-based feedback (with or without timestamps) does not allow students to recapture the moment.
Students need to re-see themselves in action with teacher feedback to understand what happened. Watching themselves perform while reading feedback comments allows them to relive the performance, see their mistakes in context, and visualize what to improve next time.
Without video, students cannot learn effectively from action-based assessments.
80% of performing arts and sports assessments are action-based performances involving multiple students: scenes (2-5 actors), ensembles, team sports, group choreography.
Teachers must write separate feedback for each student in group performances — multiplying the time burden exponentially (3 students = 45+ minutes of feedback writing).
Video + AI-powered feedback that saves teachers 10+ hours/week and helps students actually learn from their performances.
Teacher films student performance (or group performance)
Teacher watches video and adds timestamped comments. Tag which students the comment applies to (for group performances).
AI creates rubric-aligned feedback in 60 seconds using video transcript + teacher annotations. For group performances: generates individual feedback for each student.
Teacher reviews AI draft, edits if needed (human-in-loop), then approves.
Students receive video + timestamped feedback. Click timestamp → video jumps to that exact moment. See themselves performing while feedback comment appears.

OptivAItED was founded by Alan Crawford, a veteran international school educator with over 20 years of experience leading Drama, Music, and Performing Arts departments at elite schools including Dubai College, Berkhamsted School, and Tanglin Trust School Singapore.
For two decades, I spent every weekend writing performance feedback from incomplete notes. I'd watch 30 students perform, frantically scribbling observations while missing critical moments. Days later, I'd struggle to remember who did what, reconstructing feedback from cryptic notes like "Emma - proj? timing off 2:10."
Meanwhile, my students received text-based feedback 2-3 weeks later, unable to remember the moments I was referencing. "At 1:23, your projection was excellent" meant nothing to them without being able to re-see that moment.
I knew there had to be a better way.
We're launching with 3-5 international schools in Q2 2026.
